How do I set up my account?

I don't want to receive text alerts at midnight!
- LittleBird allows you to specify a time window for each of the seven days of the week.
You will only be texted during those periods, but e-mail messages are sent 24/7
- For instance, you could have 9am-5pm Monday-Friday only (our default setting), 6am-6pm seven days a week, always or never.
If the customer is using their only phone line to connect to the internet... - We've thought of that one!
If a customer uses their only phone line to connect to the internet, then there's no point in receiving an immediate text alert because their phone will be engaged.
- LittleBird allows the customer to specify that they would like to be called back:-
- As soon as possible
- At least 5 mins from now
- At least 10 mins from now
- At least 30 mins from now
- At least an hour from now
and these details are included in your text alert.
Can I alter the look or format of my links to LittleBird?
- You are offered several choices when creating your Linking Code:-
- 1. Use one of our images
We offer a selection of LittleBird and telephone logos which you can use for your link.
These are served from our server so will do not need to host these yourself. You can optionally display text under the image.
- 2. Specify your own text for linking
- 3. Use your own image
You can enter the URL and height and width tags for any image that you host yourself.
- You can specify that you only want the image to be displayed on your website during the hours when you are textable.
- Javascript Alert box. You can choose to
annoy the hell out of your visitors add extra emphasis to your LittleBird service by having a Javascript alert box appear when the page is first loaded. This Alert only appears during the times when you have agreed to be texted - so a message such as "Click on the button and we will call you straight back" would be perfect! At other times, they won't get the Alert box
Can I use the code more than once per page?
- It is not possible to use the Javascript more than once per page, but you can use the link that is in the noscript code (without the noscript tags) as many times as you wish.
- If you have many different products or services listed on a page you could, by specifying different "reference" field contents, receive alerts that will tell you which particular product or service your customer is interested in.
What about WAP?
- If there is sufficient demand, then we will set up a WAP site so that you can check the diary of alerts sent.
- Please E-Mail us if you think you would use this feature.
Are my phone number and e-mail address displayed?
- We display neither your phone number nor your e-mail address.
- In fact, using LittleBird rather than "mailto" links on your website will almost certainly mean that "spam-harvesters" will not be able to collect your address.
- We believe that our systems are set up in such a way that it is impossible for anyone to discover your e-mail address or mobile number.
